Dear friends – IPCA chess players, members and partners!

On 24th February 2022 Russia attacked independent Ukraine and with the participation of Belarus launched a military aggression against the Ukrainian people. The Russian army destroys Ukrainian cities. Innocent residents of Ukraine are dying. This is a crime against the peaceful people of Ukraine.

The IPCA Presidential Council strongly condemns the military aggression of Russia and Belarus against sovereign Ukraine. Nothing can justify this aggression.

We express our solidarity and support for a peaceful Ukraine and great respect for the defending people of Ukraine.

One cannot agree that in a civilized, peaceful Europe in the 21st century, one country aggressively attacked another country. We are against any war.

Our organization is against all forms of discrimination based on racial, national and political principles, as this is contrary to common sense and the principles of the United Nations Organization.

We fully support all the emergency decisions of the FIDE Council due to the military actions of Russia and Belarus in Ukraine from 27th February 2022.
